Aesthetics for the Future

The Escola das Artes - Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa aims to encompass new artistic practices, particularly in digital areas, seeking to combine tradition and modernity and responding to the challenges and issues of contemporaneity, affirming itself as a living, dynamic space open to the community.

The School of the Arts aims to become a reference point for critical thinking and artistic practice. As such, the Campo de Ourique centre will host, in addition to training initiatives, cultural dissemination activities such as conferences, exhibitions, performances and concerts.

At a critical moment in contemporary society, the School of Arts of the Autonomous University of Lisbon aims to position itself as a centre for discussion on the possibilities for the future of the earth and the human being and the contributions of art to this journey.
